I don’t know why the designers thought it needed the lower valance off a Japanese tuner car but it does not mesh with the rest of the car’s shape at all.

It was the year 2000 (facelift model), that’s how things were, rounded for the sake of rounded .

The whole front end doesn’t mesh with the rest of the shape of the car.
My dad had an early-production W210 E420 and while there were many things that were actually nice about that car, the front end styling was always a bit incongruous.
But, with a bit of tweaking, that lighting graphic theme works pretty well on the C208 CLK55.

I’m the opposite. I think these were the last of the good looking MBs.
A MB to me was always a little ‘statesmanlike ’, now, they are ‘footballery’ looking, chasing the cash .

That’s part of why they’re cheap, which makes it easier for me to buy a good 320 wagon eventually.
